Hi bro,
read that u also wearing the SAF goretex boot. But I find that it does not have proper ankle protection. So, is the comfort and waterproof make u chose the SAF boot? Any recommendation if I wan a boot more for protection?
Yes, I like to wear the SAF goretex boot because it is waterproof, airy, soft, light and all-day comfortable riding and walking. Great for touring.
I don't have any other boot to recommend. But just consider the following points:
- Leather boots offer good protection and look good. But they are mostly not waterproof and can be hot to wear. Goretex boots offer the opposite.
- Soles. Thin soles offer good feedback of the road surface but wear out fast from walking. Thick boots wear out less and good for walking, but less road feedback.
- Boots with ankle protection have ankle restraining mechanism. But they may not be the most comfortable to walk around. And can be bulky.
- Lastly, price.
So you got to ask yourself what are your priorities and riding style.
